Neon Tube bending is a dying art while the signs themselves are making a comeback and are in great demand. A leading industry magazine, Sign of The Times, recently reported that the average tube bender in the U.S. has over 20 years experience. There is a great concern in the industry that there will not be a new generation to replace the old. Meanwhile, Sign of the Times also stated a 1998 article that "Growth and prosperity in the electric-sign industry continued at a relentless pace in 1997". Sign companies reported increasing profit margins, unprecedented Sales per employee and an average Sales-Volume increase of 14%. This places neon tube benders in very high demand and affords them extra job security. Wholesale neon shops are constantly seeking benders to keep up with the demand from sign shops. This information is provided by the schools. We are not endorsing any of these programs. Contact the school for complete information on enrollment and other school statistics.
